But he must be warned that the cost of living in Pal. iis high & it will not be possible to grant hm any allowance in the event he finds it difficult to make ends meet. ............. Interesting item

World opinion especially USA oppossed the action & on 8 Nov the UN ordered a ceasefire by which time the British/French forces had secured control as far as Ismalia.
