On 30 Nov 1939 Russia invaded Finland without warning or declaration of war & volunteers from various countries went to the aid of Finland who capitulated to the Russian Army on 12 March 1940. Only a handful of Italian volunteers were present on the side of the Finns & mail is very rare with this being exceptional quality.

This RX card is an early example of recommenced flights & is exactly one week prior to the renewed Russian attack on Finland after the Winter War that ended 12 March 1940....................A Scarce & very visual item full of character
