Navy 5738 Units 768-78 bearing horizontal strip 3 x 100w tied APO 209 /Korea cds .......................After being under the control of the Japanese until the end of WW2 Korea now had to contend with new masters the Russians in the north & USA in the south with the 38 parallel acting as the divide of borders. There was discontent and indeed military action between the N & S that eventually led to the outbreak of the Korean War in 1950... Military related mail from this period is seldom encountered
