Although addressed innocently to a female the crayon T.44 denotes it was referred to Trade censorship found to be not so innnocent, condemned & released at wars end.

Stalag X1 B located at Fallingbostel was liberated by British troops on 16 April 1945 with this item undoubtedly caught up in the rapid allied advance towards the end of the war in Europe

Argentine /Retour a l' Expediteur & 7 lined explaination detailing Detained due to illegal occupation by Great Britain. ................................................................................................. The Falkands War commenced with the Argentine invasion on 2 April & ended 74 days later with the surrender of the Argentine forces on 14 June.

Released after the war with violet Released handstamp & on reverse Zuruck Post von /der Zensur freigegeben. /Etwaige Antwortsendungen /muusten den gegenwartigen /Bestimmungen entsprechen label basically saying the German Censors were not responsible for the delay............................................................ Interesting item with some minor faults showing a change in route resulting in allied interception & Condemning of the item prior to releasing at wars end

[18589] DENMARK - GB…WW1 PART OF MAIL CAPTURED BY THE GERMANS & DELAYED… 1916 (Dec 12) Christmas greeting postcard to Lincoln bearing 10 ore tied Kobenhavn cds & with typed "Part of a Mail Captured by the Germans and Delayed" label ...........The Danish ship SS Vidar was intercepted by the Germans whilst sailing from Copenhagen to Hull on the 12/13th December 1916 & escorted into Svinemunde. 71 mail bags including 2553 registered items & 14 parcel bags were removed from the ship with unimportant mail being released in January & February 1917......labels are less common than hand stamps
