It is undeliverable as Addressed and is Therefore Returned to You .....2 items. ............................................................................................... Stalag V11 A was a large camp located at Moosburg liberated by US forces at the end of April 1945 & then used until 1948 as Civil Internmet Camp No 6 after initially housing approx 12,000 Germans accused of having supported the Nazi dictatorship

[18586] GERMANY - COLOMBIA…WW2 RETURNED for RE-ROUTING VIA LATI… 1941 (Dec 11) Legacion De Colombia en Alemania printed airmail envelope endorsed "Diplomaten Post" "Mit Luftpost Nach Nord Amerika und ab New York" to Minestro de Relactiones Exteriores, Bogota bearing Hitler Head 50 pf & 10pf & with small manuscript label "Zuruck Absender zur Nachzahlung der gebuhren falls Leitung uber Sud Amerika geurnscht wird. Postverkehr mit Nord Amerika eingestelit" (roughly tranlating to "Return to Sender for Additional payment in case the Service to South America is Required as Postal traffic to North America is Suspended " with additional Hitler Head 50pf added with all adhesives tied Berlin cds & with blue Ab within circle hand stamp .........This letter was posted the day USA declared war on Germany on 11 Dec 1941. The mail service to the USA via Lisbon was suspended & the only route open to the Germans was the Lati route via Rome & the South Atlantic.& this item with the label is probably unique.
